BLUR - DESFOQUE
BLUR is a series of oil paintings of varied dimensions that seeks to create “traces” of time in continuous displacement. The paint is applied through free gestures and overlays, without a preliminary sketch, allowing the material and its interaction with the body and the brush to guide the composition of each piece, starting from the prior study of photographs captured with an open shutter. Almost like contemporary reinterpretations of blurred landscapes, the displacements and textures evoke a process of study on permanence and impermanence, where the body acts as a silent agent in the creation and dissolution of the painting.
BLUR é uma série de pinturas a óleo de dimensões variadas que busca criar “rastros” de um tempo em deslocamento contínuo. A tinta é aplicada através de gestos livres e sobreposições, sem esboço prévio, permitindo que a matéria e sua interação com o corpo e com o pincel orientem a composição de cada peça, partindo do estudo prévio de fotografias capturadas com obturador aberto. Quase como releituras contemporâneas de paisagens em borrão, os deslocamentos e texturas evocam um processo de estudo sobre permanência e impermanência, onde o corpo age como um agente silencioso na criação e dissolução da pintura.
